Why Give?
There are so many reasons why Camp Esperanza needs your help. We believe the most important reason is because it gives the kids a chance to understand they’re not alone. The comradery felt at camp offers hope and inspires kids fight their disease. They get to feel normal for a week while their parents and siblings get a well needed break. At the end of the week, kids go home with a fresh new perspective as well as a jump in confidence.
The cost of camp is another huge factor why we need help. We offer one free week of camp for every camper who attends, so we need help. We’ve built this amazing organization from the ground up and are committed to giving the kids a week of fun every July, every year. That takes work, planning, more work and money. Lots of it.
And of course there’s you. When you donate money to charity, you create opportunities to meet new people who believe in the same causes that inspire you. That, and making a real impact on those causes, can infuse your everyday life with more meaning.
Make a Difference
We don’t live in a perfect world, and there’s never going to be a perfect time to give_but there are always people out there in need of help. Whether interest rates are rising, the economy is in the doldrums, or even if you’re experiencing financial difficulties of your own, the reality is that when you donate your money, you help others who need it.
We understand how the dollars raised for camp changes their lives. We see it every year. We know how impactful the camp experience is so when we say ‘we need your help’, we mean it.
And in the end, you’re happy, we’re happy and the kids are ecstatic. They leave at the end of the week already planning for the next year. The next year of course is dependent on our helpers. Helpers like you, make a difference.
The value of life is not in its duration, but in its donation. You are not important because of how long you live, you are important because of how effective you live.

It does not matter how much we donate; it matters whether the donation is meaningful. How to define meaningful? Let society and history judge.

Thank You
As the saying goes… it take a village and without your support we couldn’t do the work to make camp happen. We thank you and the kids thank you. You are our hero.
